About
A lighthouse, a surgery, and a business that finally made sense.
SSS Lighthouse Creative didn't start as a marketing agency. It started as a backyard lighthouse, became a five-service shop, and is now exactly what it should have been from the start.
The lighthouse
It started as a thing we built in the backyard.
A literal lighthouse, by hand, on the property. Not for a brand or a logo or a metaphor — for fun. Then we noticed: a lighthouse doesn't chase ships. It doesn't shout. It just refuses to be ignored. It stays put, it stays lit, and the right people find their way to it.
That's the whole philosophy. It's what every founder and speaker we work with is actually trying to do online: stop chasing visibility, start being unmissable.
The pivot
Six weeks in a chair changed the whole business.
For years, Syd ran a full-stack marketing agency. Real clients, real revenue, real exhaustion. Pouring time into content that did absolutely nothing. No leads, no traction, no return — just a presence that didn't reflect how good the work actually was.
The turning point was a second major knee surgery. Six weeks unable to walk. All the ambition that usually went into adventures and lifestyle got funneled into one thing: the data. Instagram, LinkedIn, every resource available. Studied it all from a chair.
That decision changed everything.

The narrowing
Built for Syd first. That's the only way to sell it with integrity.
The old agency could help anyone with anything. That's exactly why it was breaking. So we fired the off-niche clients, walked away from the full-stack model, and centered everything on one transformation:
Helping founder-led experts and speakers build an online authority presence that matches the caliber of who they already are.
The power tools, the team, and the marketing depth are all still there. They're just pointed at one thing now — clarity, narrative, and presence for people whose ideas deserve a larger room.
Let's build yours next
If your public presence doesn't reflect the caliber of who you already are, that's the gap we close.
